The wife of Yasser Eljuboori has said she won't be able to relax until her husband is back in Dublin Airport.Mr Eljuboori is originally from Iraq andHe is a prominent anti-corruption activist who has previously written articles criticising the Iraqi Government.
After he was arrested, his family were told he was being charged with defaming Iraq’s Prime Minister Mohammed Shia’ Al Sudani through his anti-corruption posts on social media.now is arguably the most important time."In court today the charges were dropped against him and he was released on bail," she said."All of the charges were dropped which is a good step in the right direction.
"But it can be a dangerous or cautious time as well, this can often happen... and then the pressure is taken off."So, the goal is to get him home".Ms Wickham said she won't be able to relax until her husband is in Dublin Airport. "I'm very appreciative to the Department of Foreign Affairs and to the Tánaiste in particular," she said."It's really, really important now that now is the time to put on as much pressure as possible to get him out, to get him on a plane."It's still going, we're not there yet - not until he's in arrivals."She added that she spoke to him briefly on a video call this afternoon.
