Young boy dies after being hit by car on Springfield Road in Belfast
The collision happened on the Springfield Road before 4.35pm on Friday.
Sinn Fein Councillor Micheal Donnelly told Belfast Live: "I was up at the scene shortly after it happened today and the loss of young Eoin Hamill has completely shocked us all. The SDLP's Paul Doherty said: "I was at the scene of this serious incident on the Springfield Road this evening and it is with great sadness that I have since learned of the tragic death of a young child involved.
"I spoke with residents in Turf Lodge soon after and there was a real sense of shock across the area at this tragic event."This is the worst nightmare for any parent.
