A young mother killed in a hit and run collision in Co Limerick has been named locally as Marguerita Sheridan.

A family friend wrote: “RIP, such a lovely girl, gone too soon.” Another commented to Ms Sheridan’s father John Sheridan: “Sorry for ur loss john may she get the best bed in heaven.”
Cllr Teskey passed on his “heartfelt condolences to the family, and our thoughts and prayers are with them”. Gardaí said they responded “at the scene of a serious incident involving a vehicle that occurred at the entrance of a private property in Rathkeale, Co. Limerick” at approximately 12.15pm on Saturday.
