A member of the public saw a body in the water
Detectives from Northamptonshire Police have launched an investigation after the body of a woman was found in a lake in Wollaston. The young woman has not been formally identified, but her family has been informed
The woman was removed from the water and the area cordoned off. The unidentified woman is believed to be 20 years old. Just after 12am, Wildlife Trust in Northamptonshire, who manage the reserve, posted on their social media: "due to an incident at Summer Leys Nature Reserve today. The nature reserve and visitor centre will be closed until further notice."
A forensic post-mortem is due to place later today, July 7. Officers from the Force’s Major Crime Team have now launched an investigation into the circumstances of the death and are appealing for anyone with relevant information to get in touch.At NorthantsLive we're more than just news.
