After nearly a decade since leaving One Direction, Zayn Malik will be embarking on his first solo tour this autumn. The singer confirmed the news during an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, teasing fans with a short clip and a cryptic note.
The Bradford-born hitmaker confirmed to fans that he will be embarking on his first solo tour this autumn, almost 10 years after he left One Direction . Previously, Zayn has spoken about his mental health and the anxiety he faces when performing.
In the short clip, Zayn appears from backstage and hits a button on Jimmy Fallon's laptop which immediately plays a snippet from a song of his. The exact dates and locations included in Zayn's first solo tour have yet to be announced but it will undoubtedly spark a rush for tickets among fans. While Zayn has performed as a solo artist on a handful of occasions, this was his first-ever headline show. Famously, he was due to perform at the Capital FM Summertime Ball at Wembley Stadium in 2016. However, the sold-out stadium was rocked when an announcement was made after he was scheduled to be on stage.
