Chiefs dropped points for the second successive game after a lone strike early in the game by Sammy Seabi saw them remain five points behind second-placed Orlando Pirates, with four games to go.
"But I don't think we were sharp enough in the final third entry and our box entries today were not better than the previous games. Ja, it's one of those you gonna be chasing the game," he said. "So the only thing that we had to do was to quickly get the ball to the right areas where we can hurt them and I think at some point we kept the ball too long at the back looking for options and yet there were players who were free.
