One of the girls is thought to be aged between 8 and 13 years old, whilst the other is believed to be between 10 and 14 years old, The Associated Press reports. Cleveland Police Chief Dorothy Todd stated on Tuesday that the cause of death remained unclear, but that their bodies had been at the location for a considerable period. The circumstances didn't correspond to any active missing persons cases in the vicinity, the police chief confirmed. 'We are hoping to find answers,' she said. 'This is a terrible, tragic situation.' A medical examiner's office utilised preliminary DNA relationship testing to verify that the two girls were half-sisters. The office indicated further information would be released as it became available.
