Former Summerhill boss Conor Gillespie has joined Robbie Brennan's Meath management team, adding valuable experience and local knowledge to the squad.

Robbie Brennan has completed his Meath management team with the addition of Summerhill County Championship winning boss, Conor Gillespie .

Gillespie saw his Keegan Cup holders defeated by Dunboyne at the weekend in the Meath quarter-finals, leaving him free to join up with Brennan. As a player, big midfielder Gillespie won county titles with Summerhill in 2011 and 2013 and he was part of the Royals' last Leinster Championship winning side .Brennan’s Kilmacud Crokes side had better luck than Gillespie’s Summerhill at the weekend, defeating Ballyboden St. Enda’s in the Dublin quarter-finals.Omagh man McMahon has just completed a four year term with Brian Dooher and Feargal Logan in Tyrone.

After helping Castlerahan to a county title, he coached Cavan to the 2020 Ulster title, their first since 1997.
