Revenue officers have confiscated contraband with an estimated value of €320,000 in various operations across Dublin, the Midland, and Rosslare. The contraband includes herbal cannabis, amphetamine, cocaine, illicit drugs, cigarettes, and alcohol.

Revenue officers seized contraband with an estimated value of €320,000 in various operations in Dublin , the Midland and Rosslare over last week.

Revenue also uncovered various quantities of other illicit drugs, with a combined value of approximately €2,000 as well as 11,660 cigarettes, of assorted brands, with an estimated value of €10,500 representing a potential loss to the Exchequer of approximately €8,300. The illegal drugs were discovered, with the assistance of detector dogs Sam, Grace and Ciara, in parcels that originated in the USA, the United Kingdom, Canada, Thailand, Netherlands, Spain, Italy and Poland. The parcels were destined for various addresses nationwide.
