A number of forgotten Premier League players could be on the move this summer as clubs look to raise funds and trim their squad ahead of the new Premier League campaign
With the new Premier League season less than a month away, clubs are set to ramp up their transfer business now that Euro 2024 and the Copa America are over.
Chelsea have an incredibly bloated squad which Maresca is keen to trim and Chalobah is one of several players facing the axe. Crystal Palace, West Ham and Fulham have all been linked with the 25-year-old, while Nottingham Forest had a £25million bid rejected by the Blues last summer. Heavily linked with a permanent switch to Napoli, Lukaku will be hoping he can rediscover his best form by linking up with Antonio Conte again. His return to Chelsea for a then club record fee in 2021 has been a struggle, with Lukaku netting 15 goals in 44 games before being shipped out on a series of loans.
Kepa is training away from the first-team and has been linked with a move to Saudi Arabia, with the Blues currently eyeing a move for Villarreal goalkeeper Filip Jorgensen as they look to bring in more competition for Robert Sanchez. The 27-year-old has not played for Liverpool since an FA Cup third round match against Wolves in January 2023 and the Reds are said to be willing to accept a bid of around £8m for his services. Trabzonspor have had a £4m offer rejected, while new Burnley boss Scott Parker is a fan of Phillips.
