Reflecting on her quest, Gladys shared: "When the programme finished, I thought this is just half the journey. I've traced my mother but it would be wonderful to find out who my father was. And it bothered me a lot.
"It was like talking to people I'd known forever; they felt like relatives," Gladys reflected. "All my life I have felt a lonely person and often wondered why I did not have sisters or brothers, and who did I belong to? ... After all these years, I am just in wonderland. This news came at the right time. I'm as happy as I've ever been."
