AA Ireland partners with Cover-More Blue Insurance Services Limited ('Blue Insurance') to provide pet insurance. Customers seeking quotes and policy details are directed to the Blue Insurance website, where they are bound by the terms and conditions outlined there. AA Ireland primarily focuses on roadside assistance services, while Blue Insurance handles the pet insurance administration. The AA Ireland insurance offering provides comprehensive coverage for various incidents and emergencies.
For instance, the Essential Cover plan offers up to €1,500 per period for injuries and illnesses resulting from accidents, with coverage extending for up to 12 months per accident. Additionally, optional travel cover is available, encompassing EU vet fee coverage for up to three trips (30 days each), quarantine costs (€1,500), PET Passport loss (€250), and emergency repatriation (€500).However, certain exclusions and limitations apply to the pet insurance policy. Pre-existing conditions, those that manifested or showed clinical signs before the policy commencement date, are not covered. Routine care expenses, such as examinations, vaccinations, spaying/neutering, nail clipping, flea and worm treatments, or breeding and pregnancy costs, are also excluded. Furthermore, third-party liability cover does not extend to breeds restricted under the Control of Dogs Act or its amendments, including but not limited to Dogo Argentino, Fila Brasileiro, Pit Bull Terrier, and wolf hybrids. It's important to note that coverage limitations, including the amount payable for each claim and the overall policy period, vary depending on the chosen plan (Essential, Premier, or Premier Plus). Once the policy limit is reached, no further cover is provided for that period. Upon policy renewal, the limits reset for new claims. AA Ireland and Blue Insurance continue to emphasize transparency and clarity in their pet insurance offerings, providing detailed information about coverage, exclusions, and limitations to ensure customers make informed decisions about their pet's protection
