An air ambulance was scrambled to a youth rugby match in Forfar after a player was seriously injured. Emergency crews raced to Inchmacoble Park in the Angus at around 2pm today.
The teen player was injured near the end of the Under 18s match between Strathmore Sharks and Dunfermline Rugby Football Club. Speaking to the Record, Strathmore Rugby Club confirmed the boy suffered a neck/spinal injury at their home ground.
A spokesperson for Strathmore Rugby Club said “We are a family-values-driven club and are obviously quite concerned. Safety around young people is paramount and we are waiting on Dunfermline getting back to us.
