The penultimate round of the Allianz Football League saw dramatic twists and turns, with Wexford securing promotion from Division Four, while Derry, Westmeath, and Leitrim faced relegation. The battle for Division One supremacy continues, with Donegal, Galway, Dublin, Kerry, Mayo, Armagh, and Tyrone all vying for the coveted top spots. Division Two also promises excitement as Monaghan, Roscommon, Cavan, and Meath fight for promotion. Meanwhile, Division Three could see Offaly claim promotion, while Leitrim and Antrim face the prospect of relegation

The penultimate round of Allianz Football League fixtures concluded with three teams facing relegation and Wexford securing promotion from Division Four with a game in hand. In the premier division, Derry, the Division One champions just a year ago, confirmed their relegation, while Westmeath will return to Division Three following their promotion last season.

Leitrim, who have been struggling throughout the league, suffered relegation after failing to field a team against Fermanagh, resulting in Steven Poacher's team being relegated to Division Four. The stakes remain high this weekend, with All-Ireland champions Armagh needing a result against the Oak Leafers to avoid slipping through the Division One trapdoor. Division One has become a tightly contested race, with multiple teams vying for the top spots and avoiding relegation. Donegal, the reigning Ulster champions, face a balancing act as their Division One final appearance would coincide with their Ulster SFC preliminary round match against Derry. They will travel to Castlebar, where Kevin McStay's squad is not yet safe from relegation but could also secure a place in the Division One final if results fall in their favor. Victories for Donegal, Galway, and Dublin could see the top two decided by scoring average, with Galway (+17) holding a clear edge over Dublin (+8) and Donegal (+6). Kerry still possesses a slim chance of making it to the final, but they need Dublin to lose and to defeat Galway by at least four points. If the Kingdom suffers a defeat and Armagh and Tyrone secure victories, they'll be demoted alongside Derry. There's an outside chance that four teams, Kerry, Mayo, Armagh, and Tyrone, could all end up with seven points, bringing scoring difference into play. Of these teams, Armagh (-7) currently has the worst scoring difference, however, Tyrone faces the most precarious situation as they have yet to overcome any of the teams above them in the relegation battle and would lose out on head-to-head against Armagh, Kerry, or Mayo. Even a victory over Dublin doesn't guarantee their survival, and they'll realistically need to finish in a three-way tie on points and hope to edge out either Mayo or Armagh. They could become the first team relegated from Division One after finishing on seven points
