The driver of a car involved in a collision with an ambulance on a reported emergency run has been taken to hospital.
A Volvo SUV was seen to be at a stop immediately in front of the emergency vehicle, and police officers are seen standing at the scene, which has been coned off. A fire engine was requested to provide assistance but left the scene shortly afterwards, as the occupants of each vehicle had been extracted prior to their arrival.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 10am on Friday, 3 February 2023, police were called to a two-vehicle road crash involving an ambulance and a Volvo car on Ladysmill at its junction with Thornhill Road, Falkirk. The driver of the Volvo has been taken by ambulance to Forth Valley Hospital. The Record has contacted the Scottish Ambulance Service for further information on the circumstances that led to the collision.
