The Ulster Council and Antrim footballers are on a collision course after the provincial body switched their clash with Armagh to Newry.
Recent soundings from the Ulster Council suggested that the game would go ahead in Belfast amid threats from Antrim not to fulfil the fixture if they didn’t have home advantage, though a statement from Ulster GAA this evening outlined how the game would now be played in Pairc Esler, Newry. “In reaching this decision, the committee sympathised with Antrim GAA’s situation, which re-iterates the need for Casement Park to be redeveloped as a matter of urgency.
