Apple Intelligence will not be on any of the new handsets until October but some Irish consumers will have to wait even longer for the clever new features
Tech giant Apple put new artificial intelligence features to the front and centre when it unveiled its four new iPhones that it said are designed from the ground up to take advantage of the technology.

The iPhone launches were announced at Apple Park in California where Tim Cook and his team also took the wraps off new AirPods Series 4, new colours to AirPods Max and an upgrade to AirPods Pro 2 that enables you to use the earbuds as a Hearing Aid.
The 16 and 16 Plus both get the action button introduced last year for the iPhone 15 Pro, which can be assigned to a function of your choice. A new camera control button will facilitate instant access to visual Apple Intelligence features in the future. The button also provides easy access to the camera and allows you to adjust camera settings by sliding your finger along it.
They get an even more powerful chip, the A18 Pro, which Apple said is faster and more efficient than the standard A18. A faster camera sensor means the main wide angle lens can shoot hi-res photos and ProRAW images even when subjects are in motion.
