Asda is the latest to make the move after Lidl, Sainsbury's, Aldi and Waitrose last year
Asda is following in the footsteps of Lidl, Sainsbury's and Aldi by swapping their coloured milk caps for clear ones.
The switch to natural-coloured caps means that they can be easily recycled back into food-grade packaging. Unlike green, blue, and red coloured caps, the clear bottle caps, which contain 30% recycled material, can be recycled, and go back into food packaging. In partnership with Arla, the UK’s largest dairy cooperative, the change will be rolled out in Asda stores this June and will also affect Yeo Valley fresh milk.
