Lee joined the band in February 2024 after the sad passing of Christy, who died in June 2023. On March 7, Aslan will release their first single since Lee joined the Dublin group – and Lee said he hopes people will like their new sound

“All you can do is be yourself. Now hopefully with the new song, people will hear me for the first time with the bad properly recorded and stuff like that. Everybody will be able to hear it. You won’t have to just come to a gig.”Opening up about the track, the 38-year-old Dubliner said: “It’s basically what everyone has been going through, especially the lads over the last two years. You doubt yourself and what life is about and if you can keep pushing through.
“I had a load of songs, and this was one of them but obviously you have to write for Aslan so when I took it to the lads, it was totally changed. We all worked together. They’ve always done that.”“I feel like I’ve been in the band for about 10 years. It’s been crazy. So much has happened, and we’ve done so much in such a short period of time. All the Electric Picnic gigs, Coldplay. It all happened within nine months. It’s like a lifetime in the band in a year.
“I’ve never had anything mad happen, thank god because I’ve heard stories. Nothing really has changed.” Hear Your Call will be available on all music platforms from March 7. “It’s a song about going through hard times and having self-doubt but finding strength in numbers. The recording process was very enjoyable and very quick. It feels great to be able to add to an already amazing catalogue of music from the band and to be also able to put my own stamp on a song.
