Astros fans' dreams come true!
The Houston Astros swept the Yankees to punch their ticket for another trip to the World Series after Game 4 on Sunday at Yankee Stadium.
Lance McCullers started on the mound in his first appearance since Oct. 15 after a champagne bottle bruised his elbow. The starter retired the Yankees three up and three down in the fifth.Rookie shortstop Jeremy Pena got the Astros out the gate. Trailing the Yankees 0-3, Pena stepped up to the plate and hit a homer to the left, scoring along with Maldonado and Altuve, bringing the score 3-3.
Going into the 7th inning, Yankee's center fielder Harrison Bader breaks the four-all tie at the bottom of the 6th, with a solo home run to the left off of Astros pitcher Hector Neris. But not before Yordan Alvarez, ties the score as he hits a single to the right field, allowing Jose Altuve to score at the top of the 7th.
An official watch party happened on Sunday in Space City at Minute Maid Park for fans to watch the 'Stros possibly punch their ticket to the World Series once again.A potential double-elimination Sunday began with Game 5 of the National League Championship Series between the Phillies and Padres, with Philly up 3-1 and playing in front of a home crowd. With a 4 over 3 win, the Phillies sealed the deal.
