The telly and radio star has lots of exciting projects lined up, including the anticipated return of hit TV comedy Faithless, but has no plans for his 50th birthday just yet
Baz Ashmawy had plans to slow down work once he hit 50 – but as the milestone birthday approaches, he admits his career has gone the “opposite way”.
He told RSVP Live: “I had all these plans that when I turned 50 I was going to wind down, do this, do that. Now that I’m here I’m like, ‘No, I need to do more’. He said: “I’ve nothing planned yet. Everyone’s asking me but I don’t know. Maybe a holiday – I think I could do with a holiday. Once I’ve finished on Faithless I’ll have a think.”
He told us: “It’s more or less the same crude humour, but trying to pepper a bit of heart into it. There are a couple of new characters, too. “I don’t know! She didn’t like the language in the first season and she won’t like it this time round either,” he laughed.Baz’s six children, however, are totally supportive of their dad’s latest venture.
