BBC bosses have finally confirmed that a celebrity version of The Traitors will hit the screen next year.
The star version, which may feature super fans who include Kathy Burke and Jonathan Ross, will air after the third series airs in January. The second series, which aired in January, generated a huge 46m views on BBC iPlayer with an average of 8.1m views per episode. The Traitors continues to be the biggest new entertainment brand for viewers aged 16 to 34. Mike Cotton, Creative Director at production company Studio Lambert said he was thrilled to land the starry version. He added: “We are thrilled to be inviting some celebrities into our castle to come and play the game. Seeing famous faces navigate the round table or don the infamous green cloaks will be unmissable TV.
