He's suffering from chronic pain

Brave Jonnie Irwin is spending time in a hospice suffering excruciating pain as he continues to battle terminal cancer.

Jonnie, who has made his battle against the disease public, announced last year that he was not sure how much time he had left to live in a heartbreaking statement. The cancer had spread to his brain, reports the Mirror. He and his devoted wife Jessica Holmes described in November how they were trying to stay positive, with Jonnie explaining how he had set “little markers” of events that he wanted to be around for.

The father-of-three has not yet told his three children about his terminal diagnosis, and because of this Jonnie says he sometimes had to 'remove himself' from his home and his family when he is in the depths of chronic pain - and the hospice is where he can find some solace.
