The Mrs Brown's Boy star said Ryan Tubridy has always been 'a pleasure to deal with' in the midst of the news last month that the broadcaster will not be returning to RTE
The Mrs Brown's Boys star has spoken out in defence of Ryan, saying he is a "massive loss" to RTE.
Speaking to the Irish Sun, Brendan O'Carroll has said: "I don’t know what they picked on Ryan and I can’t work out why Ryan is gone from RTE."Ryan was always a pleasure to deal with. If you wanted to look at the range of Ryan’s talents you only had to watch the Toy Show each year. I don’t think he will have much problem finding work elsewhere. He is an excellent broadcaster.”
“You need to have a look at that term again — ‘showbusiness’. It’s made up of two words, ‘show’ and ‘business’. You concentrate on the ‘show’ but also on the ‘business’.”
