Brexit talks between the UK and the EU are still deadlocked just a day before a crucial meaningful vote in the House of Commons.
AN UNSCHEDULED CABINET meeting is to be held this evening at 6.45pm after it was confirmed that British Prime Minister Theresa May would be travelling to Strasbourg this evening for last-ditch Brexit talks with the EU.
However, senior sources have confirmed that Cabinet were summoned to a meeting for 6.45pm this evening.Earlier today, Tánaiste Simon Coveney said May would be travelling to Strasbourg, “to try and finalise an agreement if possible”. British officials earlier warned that her visit would not signal that a deal was done, only that she felt progress could be made by face-to-face talks.
