Consumers are in for a cash boost as supermarkets have announced over the week that they will be slashing the prices on two major food items.It comes after all major supermarkets announced over the weekend that they would be lowering the price of milk.They cut the price of their two litre bottles of milk by 10c.
Tesco Ireland CEO Natasha Adams said they will be “investing in butter retail prices to help customers with their household staple costs”. Tesco also said that all their own-brand butter is sourced from Irish farms, although they do not purchase directly from Irish dairy farmers but from processors.
