A series of cat poisonings in Ballintra, Co Donegal, has resulted in one fatality and three other cats requiring emergency veterinary treatment. The incidents have left locals shocked, and animal charity 'Animals in Need Donegal' is urging the public to stop using poison and exploring alternatives like rodent traps.

"If aimed at cats deliberately, it is often seen in areas with a large number of unneutered cats that keep breeding and someone has enough . This is NOT an excuse, but a justification we have heard in the past.
