Colorado is cracking down on 'poly-impaired' driving, and yes, that means it's looking at cannabis as well as alcohol.
, based on Colorado court data from 2019, discovered a “concerning prevalence of drivers who test positive for multiple drugs,” she said during the press conference.
The CDPS also reports that nearly 50 percent of 6,071 cases involving toxicology screens for marijuana showed positive tests of Delta-9 THC that were above the legal limit of 5 nanograms per milliliter of blood . Of those convicted of DUI charges in 2019, 92 percent displayed illegal Delta-9 THC results.
