Channel 5's My Wife My Abuser viewers wept and encouraged men to come forward after tuning into the harrowing programme. Viewers at home heard the heart-wrenching tale of Richard Spencer, who was abused by his wife Sheree Spencer for 20 years.
Viewers were treated to chilling nanny cam footage from their home in Bubwith, East Yorkshire. In one scary scene, Sheree is caught spitting at Richard and choking him. Top TV news One viewer said: "This poor, poor man. There must be many men out there suffering. I hope they come forward. #MyWifeMyAbuser."
Someone else said: "It's crazy to think if she actually said it was him and he hadn't gotten his own evidence. She'd probably have gotten away with this. Breaking my heart #mywifemyabuser."
