One person has been airlifted to hospital following the multi-vehicle collision
Five people, including a child, have been taken to hospital following a serious road traffic accident in Co Galway .
Gardaí and emergency services were called to the scene and the occupant of one of the vehicles, a woman in her 30s, was airlifted to University Hospital Galway for treatment. The road remains closed for a technical examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators and diversions are in place via Dunmore, with Gardaí on duty at the diversions.In a statement, a Garda spokesperson said: "Any road users who were on the N17 at Kilcloony between 8.30am and 9am and may have camera footage are asked to make this footage available to Gardaí.
