Both presenters reiterated that there are the results of the General Election to deal with first before they bid farewell to Virgin Media

Virgin Media stalwarts Ciara Doherty and Claire Brock have announced their imminent departure from the network.

Both presenters made reference to the late nights and early mornings as they thanked workmates, viewers and all the guests they've hosted over the years. "Thank you to my incredible colleagues and friends, to all of our guests and especially to the viewers who joined me along the way. Before I depart, there's the small matter of an election! See you all tonight at 10.35pm for our election special."

"Thanks to the guests for all the memorable moments, and to the viewers who watched and supported us. Now is the time for fresh opportunities, fewer late nights... and I'm genuinely looking forward to what's ahead. Before that, an election!"
