Lisa is a Breast Cancer Ireland Ambassador for the Very Pink Run taking place at Leopardstown Race Course in Dublin (30th September) in Kilkenny Castle Park (1st October) and for the first time ever in Cork at MTU (8th October)
Lisa McGrath is taking everyday as it comes after being diagnosed with Stage 4 metastatic breast cancer.
"It was during Covid-19 so I was dubious as to whether they would see me or not but she arranged an appointment straight away. My GP then found a lump under the nipple. She then arranged for me to go to Galway to the symptomatic breast clinic." "I have two young kids, they're currently eight and six. When I got the news three years ago, they were only five and three.
"I'm living with metastatic breast cancer and I'm doing well," she said. "My oncologist is very happy that the treatment I'm on is working, so I get scans every six months."
