Bath mats can get 'completely covered in bacteria'
Your bath mat should be getting washed regularly, because, after all, it's coming into contact with damp feet on a daily basis.
He said: "Bath mats are notoriously unsanitary and recent studies have even shown that most people will only wash them once or twice a year, leaving them completely covered in bacteria and with the potential to grow mould in the fibres. Warren goes on: "even if you do clean them twice a week, you still need to be replacing them every year.
