Loose Women star Coleen Nolan was left in floods of tears

Coleen Nolan couldn't hold back the tears on today's episode of Loose Women , after a heartwarming surprise from her children on the ITV show. The telly star is set to celebrate her 60th birthday this Wednesday, but her co-presenters decided to mark the occasion early by secretly bringing her three kids into the studio audience.

Overwhelmed with emotion, Coleen exclaimed, "Oh my God!" as she embraced her kids. "Is this why I've been kept prisoner all day? So far, I've had the worst day of my life. They literally locked me in the dressing room. 'Can I go to the toilet?' 'No.'" When quizzed if she was surprised, she responded: "Was it a genuine surprise? Are you mad? No, I always cry like this.

Touched by the gesture, Coleen responded on Loose Women: "We genuinely became best friends from that." Earlier in the week, a confidant of Coleen shared with The Mirror that despite celebrating a significant birthday, the thoughts of her late sister Linda would be on her mind. The insider revealed: "This is a milestone birthday for Coleen, but she is still, of course, going to be thinking about her sister."
