The gunman had written a novel that featured a character with the same name as him, who opens fire on a tattoo parlour in downtown Denver.
‘This individual was on the radar of law enforcement,’ Pazen said.
McLeod had also once owned a tattoo parlor, Flat Black Ink Corp, in the area of the second shooting, business records show. The business was formed in 2005 but was no longer by 2017.
