Kieran McKenna's team lost 4-3 in the Premier League fixture.

Chiedozie Ogbene looks to have suffered a serious injury after being stretchered off in Ipswich Town’s Premier League meeting with Brentford.

Kieran Mckenna’s side made the perfect start to the game as Ogbene’s Ireland teammate Sammie Szmodics opened the scoring after 28 minutes and a goal from George Hirst gave the Tractor Boys a 2-0 lead three minutes later. Ogbene was then forced to go off, in the 35th minute, and was replaced by Wes Burns. Ipswich went on to draw the game level at 3-3 with Liam Delap grabbing a late equaliser after goals from Yoanne Wissa, a Harry Clarke own goal and Bryan Mbeumo put them ahead. However, a 96th minute strike from Mbeumo saw the home side take all three points in a 4-3 win.

Ireland face Finland at home, on the 14th of November, on matchday 5 of the Nations League before facing England three days later at Wembley Stadium in London.
