Cork GAA announces its 37-player senior hurling squad for the 2025 season, featuring a mix of experienced players and emerging talent.
Cork GAA has officially announced its 37-player senior hurling squad for the 2025 season . The panel, led by manager Pat Ryan, includes a mix of seasoned veterans and rising stars. The announcement comes after Cork's strong start to the Division 1A league campaign, featuring a victory over Wexford and a draw with Limerick. However, the squad faces a blow with the absence of star player Ben Cunningham due to a serious hamstring injury sustained during the Fitzgibbon Cup last week.
Despite battling shoulder injuries sustained in the recent draw against Limerick, Conor Lehane and Padraig Power have earned their places on the panel. Daniel Hogan, renowned for his impressive club form with Sarsfields who reached the All-Ireland senior final, has been called up to the team. The panel also boasts the inclusion of 2023 All-Ireland U20 champions Darragh O'Sullivan, Micheal Mullins, and Diarmuid Healy, highlighting the team's focus on developing young talent. Jack Cahalane adds to the mix, having represented the Cork senior footballers last year.Cork's journey in the league continues later this month with a trip to Tipperary on Saturday, February 22nd. The 2024 All-Ireland finalists are eager to maintain their momentum and secure a strong position in the league standings.
