They were at the Church of Our Lady of Mount Carmel on Whitefriar Street, which is home to the relics of St Valentine."We were getting our rings blessed," said Orla Gavin.
The couples were slightly taken aback by the presence of news photographers there to capture the event. "The numbers are steady. Obviously, in recent years they have declined because people have more options of how they can celebrate their wedding, but we are delighted to welcome those who come," he said.
