Two people have been passed into the care of ambulance crews amid an ongoing fire at a block of flats in Edinburgh

Crews remain on the scene as the fire continues to rage – but previous concerns about the welfare of the building's occupants have been allayed. A spokesperson for the fire service has confirmed to the Record that all persons have "now been accounted for". "Firefighters are working to extinguish the fire. Two casualties have been passed into the care of the Scottish Ambulance Service. All persons have now been accounted for."
