Supermarkets have apologised
People have taken to social media to complain of 'rotten' turkeys ruining their big meal this Christmas Day. Ready to enjoy the special meal, these customers say they sat down to eat the centrepiece of their dinner - only to find a rotten bird inside.
While @zoebrewer4 also contacted Sainsbury's on Twitter stating: "@sainsburys Please get back to me asap about this! £40 for a rotten turkey." She included a photo of a rather grey looking turkey. This year has also seen a rise in the number of people posting images from previous years and acting as if they are from this year. Several users on Twitter have used the same image of a turkey, each claiming to be left eating beans on toast on Christmas Day.
