Niki Squire, 39, of Tennyson Avenue, York, was the first arrested after his car was stopped and officers discovered a kilogram of cocaine in his passenger seat. Ms Fry said the Crown inferred that over the period from 2018 to 2019, Michael Leaf was "at the head, with James Leaf under him". She added: "It was their business. Hollis was operating at a larger level supplying."
His Honour Judge Robin Mairs jailed the younger Leaf for 14 years and eight months and his father for 16 years and five months. Clancy and Bailey were both jailed for seven years and one month. Squire was jailed for eight years and six months, Vasey for six years and eight months and Hazel for six years.
Speaking about the enquiries conducted to locate Hollis, Detective Sergeant Adam Saggers of North Yorkshire Police’s Organised Crime Unit said: “Since Hollis failed to attend court, a thorough and relentless investigation has been carried out by North Yorkshire Police in order to establish his whereabouts and bring him to justice.
