The FAI has said John Delaney will lead the association's delegation to a meeting with the Oireachtas Joint Committee on Transport, Tourism and Sport as planned
On Thursday, the FAI said its now former Chief Executive would head up the group at the meeting in Leinster House, which is due to take place next month.The association has written to the Oireachtas committee, offering to bring forward the meeting by a week, from 10 April to 3 April.
In a statement, the FAI said Mr Delaney would take up a new role as the Association's Executive Vice President with responsibility for UEFA and FIFA matters. The FAI will begin the recruitment process for a new CEO with immediate effect with interviews expected to take place in late April and an appointment ratified by the Board in May.
