Derry prospect Johnny McGuckian has been named as Electric Ireland Minor Star Football Player of the Year.
It follows his starring role as Derry won the All-Ireland minor title this year, and he is one of six players from the Oak Leaf County named on the team of the year. The Glen youngster is joined by teammates Fionn McEldowney, Cahir Spiers, James Sargent, Tommy Rogers and Conall Higgins on the final selection, while beaten finalists Monaghan have five representatives.
