Derry’s Brendan Rodgers celebrates winning the league Division 1 final at Croke Park with manager Mickey Harte. Photograph: James Crombie/InphoLast weekend noises Harte was about to step down grew louder, but with the Derry minors playing Armagh in the All-Ireland final on Sunday it seems there might have been a conscious decision to hold off on any announcement until Monday.
What now for Derry? Locally it seems few conversations about a successor don’t eventually get around to the possibility of Rory Gallagher returning.
