Mr Warman took to social media to say: “Congratulations to Rishi Sunak on his appointment as the leader of the Conservative Party. This comes just three months after the local MP resigned as vice chair of the Conservative party, as part of a long line of cabinet resignations in the closing stages of Boris Johnson’s premiership.
Other Lincolnshire MPs, including Bring & Goole’s Andrew Percy, Grantham & Stamford’s Gareth Davies and Louth & Horncastle’s Victoria Atkins, publicly backed Rishi Sunak before the announcement was made.
