Micheal Martin remained silent while Donald Trump praised 'fighter' McGregor
The US President and Taoiseach were taking questions from the press in the White House oval office when a journalist asked Trump who his favourite Irish person was.
In a wide ranging exchange Trump added that he doesn't want to do anything to 'hurt Ireland'. He said: "I love it, I've been there many times and we don't want to do anything to hurt Ireland. But we want fairness," says Trump.
