A shocking incident occurred in Belfast yesterday evening when a car crash ed into a residential property, leaving the home unsafe and prompting a police investigation. The collision took place on Rose Street at approximately 5:20 pm, involving a black Renault Megane believed to have been driven by a woman. While the male occupant of the house was thankfully unharmed, the impact caused significant damage to the property, rendering it unsafe for habitation.
Adding to the gravity of the situation, both the driver and passenger of the Renault Megane fled the scene immediately after the crash, leaving authorities to deal with the aftermath. A spokesperson for the Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI) confirmed the incident and appealed for witnesses. 'The driver and a man who was in the passenger seat both fled from the scene,' the spokesperson stated. 'The male occupant of the house was not injured however his home has been rendered unsafe by the collision.' The PSNI has launched a full investigation into the crash and is urging anyone with information, including those who may have captured footage of the incident, to come forward. 'Anyone who can assist police enquiries, or who may have captured footage, is asked to call 101 quoting reference 1210 15/02/25,' the spokesperson added.
