Gardaí believe they have effectively crippled the on-the-ground network of a violent Drogheda gang as they close in on the on-the-run leaders. The brothers, who head the so-called Anti-Maguire faction, fled Ireland in 2020 following the murder of Keane Mulready-Woods. Despite being on the run, Gardaí suspect they continue to be involved in drug trafficking from overseas bases. Recent operations have led to the arrest of numerous gang members and the seizure of drugs and cash, leaving the brothers isolated and their criminal empire crumbling.

The net is closing in on the on-the-run leaders of a violent Drogheda gang as Gardaí believe they have effectively crippled their on-the-ground network following a wave of arrests and massive drugs and cash seizures.

The violent feud - which saw over 100 serious criminal incidents including shootings, a kidnapping and houses being petrol bombed - also claimed the lives of four people, including Keane Mulready-Woods. However, following a wave of arrests in recent months - including the arrests of 14 women and two key members of the gang - and large seizures of drugs and cash, Gardaí now believe the net is closing in on the brothers.

“The brothers effectively have no-one here now willing to do anything for them. They are hopping mad over all those now charged in recent months and before the courts and it seems their criminal empire is crumbling.
