Dublin Airport served over 1.5 million pints of Guinness and 2.5 million cups of tea and coffee this year. Popular snack purchases included Tayto crisps and Toblerone chocolate. Meanwhile, almost 19,000 items were left behind, with luggage, passports and mobile phones being the most common.

While many passengers were busy making purchases, others were leaving their valuables behind. Over 750 sets of keys were forgotten and 550 laptops. Other common items that were left by passengers include glasses, drivers licences and toys. A total of 550 engagement rings and wedding bands were also handed into the airport’s lost and found. “As always, the year saw some very random items being left behind and the award for most peculiar this year goes to the passenger who left a golf bag with a full set of clubs inside sitting on the Departures Road.
