A Little Lifetime Foundation, Cliona's Foundation, and Cork Penny Dinners each received €166,666, selected by daa employees as part of the company's Charities of the Year programme for 2024.
The operator of Dublin and Cork Airport s, daa, has presented three deserving Irish charities with cheques totalling €500,000. A Little Lifetime Foundation, Cliona's Foundation, and Cork Penny Dinners were chosen as recipients of the funds following a year of dedicated fundraising activities across both Dublin Airport and Cork Airport . These efforts were spearheaded by passengers and daa employees alike.
Each charity received a cheque for €166,666, having been selected by daa employees as part of the company's Charities of the Year programme for 2024. €250,000 was raised through fundraising initiatives undertaken by daa employees and passengers, with daa matching this figure through its new Charity Programme initiative. Previously, daa added €80,000 to the total raised by passengers and employees, signifying a substantial increase with the new approach.A Little Lifetime Foundation, based in Dublin, provides support to families who have lost children. Cliona's Foundation, headquartered in Limerick, offers financial assistance to families with critically ill children. Cork Penny Dinners delivers food, clothing, and other essential aid to individuals struggling with homelessness or hardship. Every year, daa employees cast their votes to select three distinct charities as part of the Charities of the Year Programme. While we cannot alleviate a diagnosis, this contribution will provide crucial support during their most challenging times and will undoubtedly make a real difference.
